Furnishing Experts Limited founded in 1946 specializing predominantly in hotel, and theatre/cinema furnishing.
Taken over by Tom Caldwell in 1954, the business changed direction to domestic interiors and contemporary design.
Appointed as interior designers to the Westminster Estates in 1964.
Art gallery opened in 1969.
Art gallery in Dublin opened in 1974 – for many years the only gallery with premises both sides of the Irish border.
Appointed full service dealer to Herman Miller in 1978 – now Miller’s longest standing dealer in Europe.
Opening of new building in 1991 on site of original business in Bradbury Place – award winning architecture.
During the nineties start working with top Italian manufacturers such as Cassina, B&B Italia, Baleri Italia and Driade.
Appointed as dealers for Tisettanta and Arflex in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
Move to new gallery premises on Belfast’s Lisburn Road in 2004 incorporating a gallery space which must be the largest of any commercial gallery in Ireland.
